Happy Thanksgiving

The last regular day of the 2014 season is this Sunday and there is a whole lot of enjoyment for you on the 12th of October.

Thanksgiving goes to the Market!

From the Branch Restaurant and Texas Grill

So every year since we opened we’ve done a free turkey dinner on Thanksgiving here at the Branch in support of the Salvation Army Food Bank, it has been an amazing experience, one of our favourite days and a great chance to work with members of the community… We have also, since we opened, been active supporters and even founders of the Kemptville Kinsmen Farmers’ Market… The market traditionally ends on Thanksgiving, and since we’ve been involved in both efforts, we’ve always had to miss the final market… Well, this year we have decided to put an end to that, and to take Thanksgiving to the market! Instead of the full dinner, we will be smoking turkeys on the big black smoker and serving hot turkey sandwiches for any and all from 12-4 right on site at the market which is located these days at 200 Sanders Street (also known as the B&H lot). The restaurant will be closed for the day (sorry for any inconvenience) and the turkey sandwiches will be ‘pay what you can, pay with a can’ (in other words, the meal is free or by dollar and/or by non-perishable food donation) with, as always, 100% of the proceeds going to support the food bank…

Also, some great music is coming through town this weekend, check out these videos and scroll down to find out more!
